On World Health Day, nothing can be more apt than expressing our gratitude to all the nurses and midwives who are playing the ‘larger than life role” at such a difficult time when the entire world is fighting the monstrous spread of Novel Coronavirus. Every year, World Health Day is celebrated on 7th April and this year the theme for the day is “support nurses and midwives”. WHO urges all the health communities to strengthen the nurses and midwifery workforce across the world. The celebration of this day aims at generating awareness and support the people worldwide to make lives healthier and better. We are successively moving ahead with a core agenda of ensuring health to everyone, everywhere.
Year 2020, which is also the International Year of the Nurse and the Midwife, the contribution of nurses has gone beyond their documented role to a wider scale touching lives in every aspect. They have become the frontlines of COVID-19 response, putting their own lives at risk for the broader community. Thousands and millions of nurses have left their homes, family, and comfort to fight this crisis and help the people recover from this infection and condition. While we are following the lockdown norms and maintaining social distancing to keep ourselves safe, these health workers and nurses are no less than the angels serving the mankind with their care and compassion. Their indefatigable role has made us even more grateful to them than ever.
On this occasion, the United Nations secretary-general AntónioGuterresstates that “World Health Day this year comes at a very difficult time for all of us. We are more grateful than ever to all of our health workers fighting the #COVID19 pandemic. You make us proud and you inspire us. We stand with you and we count on you”.
At Zoylo, we urge the countrymen and others across the world to stand with our nurses and midwives, respect them, and cooperate with them, now and always as they are the ones who help us live in a happier and healthier world.
We also extend our heartiest thanks to these warriors of all times who not only help take care of the patients, but also heal their loneliness, agony, and fear with their mere presence and compassionate gesture. During this pandemic, we have seen their heroic and monumental stature and understand the sacrifices made for our wellbeing.
Team Zoylo salutes you!
